Who are the beneficiaries of this project?
Teenagers.
The unemployed.
Young adults.
Single mothers and fathers.
We work with young people of ages 13 to 19 years. Some of the impact that D.I. has made are as follows:
- A drop out is back in college studying performing art which was what was discovered during the programme.
- A young lady with talent of writing who will begin to write to be published.
- We trained another participant who had passion for fashion and he has taken this as his main career.
- A young lady who has a talent to draw and paint is being mentored and guided towards becoming the next top creative artist. We are looking at a mini exhibition in 2010.
- Another one who had a vision to play football and eventually start his own football academy is being exposed to opportunities which will get him to enter the youth football training club of Westham or other top clubs.
